Product Engineering
First and foremost, we listen. asking questions and repeating what we have heard to ensure we understand your needs. We focus on your ideas and work to deepen our understanding of your concepts, goals, and requirements by asking questions and repeating what we heard. We understand that each project and partner is unique and so we adapt to maximize your objectives, development experience, and innovative vision.
Connecting your objectives with our expertise, we develop an engineering proposal for your project. The proposal is scoped based on your need and highlights how we will help transition your innovative ideas from concept to reality.
Our engineering team comes together to develop a conceptual design that meets or exceeds previously agreed upon criteria. Keeping manufacturing best practices in mind, we also make sure the design will be efficient and cost effective to produce.
With the conceptual design approved, our cross-functional engineering team creates the design in a specialty Computer Aid Design (CAD) program, called SolidWorks. With a modern, iterative design process, our team seeks solutions that meet objectives. We support design efficiencies that will improve material costs, identify and remediate any stress points and interferences, and provide a greater visualization of the final product outcome.
A functional prototype is developed with your bottom line in mind. Our team adjusts the scale of these activities based on the development phase and project goals, minimizing risk and cost by evaluating key aspects early and consistently. If possible, we use standard componentry and hardware, or materials that we know can be used across multiple products in your company. Our full manufacturing capabilities are available in the form of state-of-the-art laser cutters, CNC machines, lathes, 3D printers, and more.
The functional prototype moves into performance testing and product validation. Our engineering team works with you on any final adjustments prior to moving the product to the production phase. All modifications are completed with changes clearly documented.
Documentation is your roadmap to production success and sustainability. We provide you with your 3D CAD files, specifications, schematics, bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and other product development materials or data we have developed in the project. We work closely with you to align on quality assurance checklists to ensure each item meets your quality expectations.
